On Friday and Saturday (31st August - 1st September 2018), the sixth annual Embassy Festival took place at Lange Voorhout, The Hague. The Embassy Festival is a part of the 'Cultural Weekend' with two other related events, namely the Cultuurplein and Le Marie Marche market. In total, 63 embassies participated in this year’s Embassy Festival, including some of our interest countries such as Afghanistan, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Tunisia. The theme for this year's festival is 'Lifting Global Culture' which offers a number of programs of dance, theatre, music, and traditions from different cultures all over the world. In their International Market, visitors could find products and merchandises from each of the countries associated as well as culinary experiences at once. With its headquarter in The Hague, Gender Concerns International is fully aware of the cultural diversity presented during the festival and we supported the strive of spotlighting the various cultures in the Dutch administrative capital.
